
Meet the Baker
Hi there! My name is Adriana and I am the baker behind Knead & Feed! I have been baking sourdough for a couple years and am excited to bake for you. Outside of baking sourdough, I love weightlifting and spending quality time with my friends! Below you will read a short version of my story. I hope to get to meet you to tell you more about me and sourdough story!
My Story
I started my sourdough journey as a way to provide a gut friendly option for myself. I heard how bacteria rich sourdough was and needed to find out more. I reached out to one of my dearest friends and mentors (April) who is an AMAZING sourdough baker! She invited me to her house and showed me all the steps with such patience. From feeding the starter, mixing the ingredients, kneading the dough, folding and finally baking; she walked me through every step. Before I left, she sent me home with a jar of starter to begin my own adventures! Without her this journey wouldn't even be possible.

As I continued on my journey I created my own starter (still keeping and using the OG) and fell in love with baking! I baked loaves and many other goodies to gift to friends for Christmas, birthdays and just because! Later down the road, I needed to raise funds for a missions trip to the Netherlands. With the help of April and many other bakers, I held a bake sale at my Crossfit gym and raised a generous amount. There was still over half to fundraise and I felt stuck. That's when a few of my friends suggested selling my sourdough to raise money! The response to my initial post on instagram was incredible! The support helped me fully fundraise my missions trip and help serve those throughout the Netherlands!

Overall, I bake sourdough to spread love and joy. It may sound cheesy, but if you know me I want people to smile and laugh. What better way to do that than to enjoy homemade baked goods together. Be kind and compassionate to one another, you never know what the person next to you is going through!
